geoCDR News is written and published by Tom Kaldenbach, a geologist who lives in Bend, Oregon (USA). His career spans more than 30 years, having worked primarily in an environmental regulatory agency in Colorado state government focused on the mining industry. He worked in the petroleum industry early in his career. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in geology.

The goal of geoCDR News is to explain the science, technology, and business behind news about the geologic methods of CDR — recognizing that it is not possible to predict which methods may become commercially viable.
